What Is Revolutionary About Ultherapy?

Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound to stimulate the growth of new collagen deep within the skin. By using focused ultrasound, a treatment can go to deeper tissue levels to produce not only additional collagen building, but also tightening and lifting these deep structures. Ultherapy can treat at a depth of 4.5 mm, unlike previous technology which was limited to about 2.5 mm. Also, the ultrasound imaging permits the patient and clinician to view the deeper structures to ensure energy is deposited precisely where it will be most effective. Before treatment begins, we take advantage of the ultrasound imaging by using it to see the layers of tissue we are targeting and determine the where the energy needs to be deposited to achieve the most effective results.

Ultherapy FAQs

What is the Difference Between Ultherapy and Other Technology?

Lasers typically address the surface of the skin. Conditions such as age spots, wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars. Ulthera addresses the deeper layers that support sagging skin. Unlike its predecessors, its can treat deeper levels to achieve a Lifting effect.

Does Ultherapy Hurt?

The latest innovations in Ultherapy technology specifically addresses patient comfort, with a focus on making the experience as pleasant as possible. During the procedure, if/when discomfort occurs, this is an indicator that new collagen is being built, and is a temporary sensation. Our Vancouver and Portland Ultherapy patients often tell us that they leave feeling comfortable and very excited about the future results.
You can experience some redness for a few hours. Swelling is typically mild and may last a few days. It is typically only noticeable to the individual. and not other people. You may experience some temporary tenderness and tingling for a few days post treatment. You can go back to work the following day.

Can I Complete My Treatment in One Visit?

The majority of our patients only need one treatment, but some patient’s biological response to the ultrasound may necessitate more than one treatment.

Am I a Good Candidate for Ultherapy?

This treatment is a good fit for those who have skin that has begun looking and/or feeling less firm. Maturing skin often starts with a lowered eyebrow line, sagging eyelids, and a general look of laxity around the neck and chin. Most often, those in their thirties and older who have these characteristics are good candidates for Ultherapy.
